# Terms

Short, because the arrangement is short.

The terms the work is carried out under.

## Diagnostic fee

$129 flat, per appliance, per visit. Flat diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead with it. If you
decline the repair, the fee covers the visit and the diagnosis and nothing further is owed.

## Estimates

A written estimate comes before any work starts. Nothing is ordered or opened up until you approve it in writing. If the estimate needs to change once the appliance is open, work
stops and a revised estimate is issued for approval before it continues.

## Warranty

90 days on labour and 365 days on parts, from the date of the
repair. Genuine OEM parts only. The warranty covers the specific repair performed and the
specific parts fitted.

It does not cover:

- A different fault, in the same appliance or a different one.
- Damage from corrosion, water, power events, pests, or impact after the repair.
- Work done to the appliance by anyone else after our visit.
- Cosmetic condition, including clouded or tea-stained stainless.

## Access and safety

Professional appliances are heavy and some installations cannot be pulled out safely by one
person. If the equipment cannot be reached safely, the visit will be rescheduled with the
right resources rather than attempted. Gas, water and electrical connections are left in a
safe state or left disconnected, never in between.

## Scope

Breakwater Appliance Co. services Viking equipment only. No other manufacturer's appliances
are accepted, at any price.
